Earl and Candice were actually one of the first couples to book me when I decided to really dive into wedding photography, which happened to be early last year. I did weddings before that but it wasn’t my main genre as it is now.
Needless to say, this couple was definitely on top of their planning considering that they booked me more than a year in advance. When I met with the couple, Earl’s dad was also present – he was the one gifting them with their photographer, so he asked me most of the questions.
He was firm but at the same time, I felt his dad presence. So much so that when I saw him again after a year which was at the wedding, he grabbed me and hugged me as if we were family. This is one thing that stood out for me, Earl and Candice’s family were so welcoming and incredibly down to earth. That’s my jam. .
My second shooter for the day, Dominic Arendse, handled the groom, Earl. I told Dominic before the time that both Earl and Candice are such a chilled and up for anything kind of couple. Earl threw in a few of his own poses along the way, along with the guidance of Dominic.
When Dominic and I arrived at the crack of dawn (haha not really) to the venue, we were blown away when our eyes fell onto this gorgeous rustic venue. The wedding was held at Simondium Country Lodge.
While the ladies were getting ready, I ran out to get some images of the reception decor.
Many blessings on your covenant ahead Mr & Mrs Pieters. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, you guys were absolutely beautiful. Thank you for being so welcoming, so graceful and up for anything! I loved seeing your parents break it down!
May your hearts always be joined to each other in oneness and in the strength of Jesus. Have an incredible and beautiful marriage.
